This fetishization of Latinas in the media is n’t only embarrassing, but it also has serious consequences. It exacerbates stereotyping and can lead to bigotry. It can even encourage dating violence and enhance sexual abuse of young people.
The otherness and fetishizing of mexican systems turns them into simple things to be won and showcased.
